Black and white photography was still used widely even after color photography was invented. Today, black and white photography is its own genre and niche, and is widely regarded as a better method of photography than color. Although color photography has many effects, black and white photos have the versatility for sharp shapes. Nowadays, I have put splashes of color in with the black and white, such as this photography. The effects in black and white photographs can range from light sepia tones to gray, to charcoal to black. White is represented in shades of pearl, cream, white-gray, off-white and golden white. Black and white photography uses many type of effects, such as putting a splash of color into the black and white or only using white tones, neutral tones, or gray and black tones. Double-exposure black and whites are very unique as well, and create a smoky, ghostly effect inside of the frames.
